Question: How to set up Autoresponder with paypal?
I would like customers to instantly be directed to a form asking a few questions after purchasing services on my website. I will be using Paypal. How can I link a form to be sent to my e-mail after purchases? Do I need to use a website like getresponse.com? I know there are free services but I’d rather pay if it’s more reliable and secure. My website uses a wordpress theme. Thanks in advance…

An autoresponder is typically something you set up for an email account. When you get an email it sends an autoresponse. Typically you set it up on your email server. Log in to your email server see if you have a way to set up an autoresponder in maybe ‘settings’ or ‘administration’.
A typical use would be if you are going to be out of town for a week. You would set up an autoresponse email saying something to the effect that ‘Sorry, I’m going to be unable to respond to your email since I’m going to be somewhere for the next week that doesn’t allow me to access my account. Don’t worry, I will respond to your email when I get back.’
Question: How can I use an autoresponder for my business email hosted by Yahoo?
My software uses a cgi-bin folder. Yahoo doesn’t use these anymore so I created a folder and named it cgi-bin. I perhaps need to change the permissions on the .cgi files. How?I get a 500 internal server error when I try to use the autorespnder from my website.

Question: Where do I find an autoresponder for instanty sending a file?
I would like to add a section to my website, where a person can pay for the product, and upon payment, they can click on a link to automatically download the information they purchased. I have used several sites using this, but have not been able to find out how its done. Any tips or advice appreciated

The easiest way to do this is to create an account with http://www.PayPal.com Then create the Buy Now button. In the dialog area of the button tool, you can send them to a Thank You page that would then contain the link for the download. Just be sure that you do not include that page in your sitemap page, so that others can not just browse the site and find it. Another area that you may also want to look into, is to see if your server host offers a private folder. There you can create an htaccess file and password protect the download file. Then link to that folder and give the username and password in the Thank You page.
